Primary election Tuesday – Don't forget to vote!

Be sure to vote on Tuesday, September 14.

The PSC has endorsed six solid, progressive candidates who will be on the ballot in Tuesday’s Democratic primary, led by Eric Schneiderman who is running for New York State Attorney General.

“Eric Schneiderman has demonstrated throughout his career that he is dedicated to the interests of working people,” said Steve London, PSC First Vice President. “As a State Senator representing upper Manhattan and southwest Bronx, he consistently supported greater funding for CUNY and progressive tax reform, and he has championed our adjunct unemployment insurance legislation.  Schneiderman is determined to continue fighting the corrupting influence of big corporations and will be an excellent Attorney General.”
The PSC Legislative Committee is also highlighting these critical races in Tuesday’s primary:

  • Bill Perkins for State Senator in Manhattan’s Senate District 30.

  • Velmanette Montgomery for State Senator in Senate District 18 in Brooklyn.

  • Gustavo Rivera for State Senator in Senate District 33 in the Bronx.

  • Gregg Lundahl for State Assembly in Assembly District 73 in Manhattan.

  • Francisco Moya for New York State Assembly in Assembly District 39 in Queens.

For more information on these candidates, plus a complete list of all those endorsed by the PSC and New York State United Teachers, please visit the PSC Political Action Committee website.

Remember, every vote counts – especially in party primaries, where turnout is often low. Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
